The Telangana government helps the poorest of the poor by giving them Aasara pensions

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India]JULY 23 (ANI): The Aasara Pension Scheme was established by the Telangana Government on November 8, 2014 in Kothur, Mahboobnagar District to provide pensions for the elderly, widows, patients with elephantiasis, AIDS, the physically disabled and Beedi workers and single women.
The Treasury Secretary of Telangana contributed Rs. 11,728 crore to the Aasara Pension Scheme at the annual budget meeting for fiscal year 2022-23 on March 7, 2022. The state government has increased the pension for old people, widows, AIDS sufferers, hand weavers and toddy tappers from Rs. Rs 200 to 2,016 per month; the disability pension was increased by Rs. Rs 500 to 3,016 per month; The pension for single women, beedi workers and family patients would be Rs. 2,016 per month.
SM Haseen Golconda Tahsildar from Hyderabad Division said: “We receive 10 to 15 pension applications per day. We are also receiving applications from Shaadi Mubarak and Kalyana Lakshmi.”
“Since the Telangana government came they have increased the amount that more people are applying for. We have 4,700 sanctioned pensioners in Golconda Tahsildar Division,” she said.

“In which we award old-age pensions, pensions for single women and more. Around 500 applications have been submitted online and are awaiting approval,” she added. 600 petitions are ready for approval and Shaadi Mubarak and Kalyana Lakshmi in my area are receiving Shaadi Mubarak a lot,” she said.
“Retirement pensions of 1,500 are outstanding and entitled to up to 60 years. Pensions for single women are approved at 150 by our mandal. When the amount increased for Shaadi Mubarak and Kalyana Lakshmi, we thanked the Telangana government for it,” she added.
Qutubuddin, a beneficiary, said: “He stays close to Mohamadia Lane and receives a pension of 2000 rupees and we thank KCR for that, we also thank MLA.”
“In the future, too, if we get the pension, that would be great,” he said
Yasmeen Begum said: “She is a widow and has two children. Thanks to MLA and CM KCR, she gets a pension of 2000 every month. We wish this to continue for the poor.” (ANI)
